Raveena Tandon’s daughter Rasha Thadani voted for the first time on Wednesday in the ongoing Maharashtra Assembly Elections. A video of the starkid surfaced on social media in which she was seen exiting a polling booth in Mumbai. Rasha was also accompanied by her actress-mother, Raveena. The mother-daughter duo were seen posing for the cameras as Rasha also flaunted her inked finger.
Rasha also spoke to the media outside the polling booth and urged everyone to go out and vote. “I think it is very important. You should actually know what is happening in your country and you should know who you want to vote for. You should study all the candidates and see who is best for your country. I am proud that I am a citizen and I have voted,” she said.
Asked what changes she would like to see in Maharashtra in the coming years, Rasha rooted for the environment conversation. “More care for the environment, roads and hygiene but mainly environment,” she said.
Besides Raveena and Rasha, several other celebrities were also spotted outside the polling booths after casting their votes. While Hema Malini stepped out with her daughter Esha Deol, Govinda was also seen making his first public appearance after the accidental shooting incident. Among others, Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar, Urmila Matondkar and Sonu Sood also cast their votes. Farhan Akhtar was also snapped by the paparazzi arriving at a polling booth with his sister Zoya Akhtar.
Talking about Rasha, she will soon be making her acting debut with the film, Azaad. The movie will also star Ajay Devgn’s nephew Aaman Devgan in the lead. The teaser for Azaad was released on November 5. It features high-end action scenes that have left the audience in awe. It travels back to the time when Maharana Pratap indulged in some severe fights to show Indian strength against the British. Azaad will hit theatres next year.
