A student went missing under suspicious circumstances from the hostel in BBD area of Lucknow. The father’s son lived in a private hostel. When we inquired about him in the hostel, it was found that he had not come for a long time. After which the father lodged complaint in BBD police station fearing kidnapping.

Anoop Gupta, resident of Nawabganj Sandi, Hardoi, is a businessman. He told that son Umang Gupta (20) is a student of first semester of BCA at Ram Swaroop Memorial College located on Lucknow-Ayodhya bypass. Lives in room number 407 of the hostel built in BBD area.
Anoop says that on the morning of 9th October, Umang left the room. After which neither returned nor contacted. When I called Umang’s mobile several times, the phone also said that it was switched off. Worried about his son, Anupar reached the hostel. There, Umang was seen entering the hostel gate, which had not happened for many days. After this, the victim’s father lodged a complaint at the BBD police station, fearing that his son would be kidnapped.
Police station in-charge Ajay Narayan Singh said that in the footage of the hostel, Umang is seen locking the room. After which he is seen on the road. The matter is being investigated.
