In the Kotwali area of Sitapur city, a short distance from the Superintendent of Police office, bike-riding bullies attacked an employee of a battery shop fatally over an old rivalry. This incident, which happened in broad daylight, created a stir in the area.

Rahul Gupta Aggarwal, a resident of Holi Nagar in the city, works at a battery shop. According to the information, two days ago Rahul had a dispute with some youth riding a bike over the battery. When Rahul was going from the shop to his home on Friday evening, the same youth stopped him near Balraj Photostat and started beating him. It is alleged that the bike riding bullies first beat Rahul with kicks and punches and then attacked him with a sharp knife. During the incident, a crowd gathered there, seeing which the accused fled from the spot.
Local people immediately informed about the incident on dial 112. Police reached the spot and admitted the injured Rahul to the hospital. Officials said that the incident is being investigated and CCTV footage installed in the area is being scrutinized. The police have identified the accused and assured their arrest soon. The incident that took place near the Superintendent of Police office has also raised questions on the security arrangements. People of the area are demanding action as soon as possible.
