In Mirzapur, the Vigilance team arrested the clerk of Srimouni Swami Inter College for taking Rs 20 thousand in the name of paying the salary that was stuck for two months. Complainant Satish Kumar Singh had given an application on 14th November and given information regarding his withheld salary of 2 months. In which a bribe of Rs 20 thousand was demanded by Amit Kumar, clerk of Srimouni Swami Inter College Srinivas Dham, to pay the salary.
When the allegation was confirmed during the investigation, the team of Vigilance Establishment Varanasi arrested a clerk named Amit Kumar while taking Rs 20 thousand in cash. The Vigilance team arrested the accused and took him to Varanasi. Necessary action is being taken by registering a case under relevant sections in Varanasi.
The SP said that the Vigilance Establishment takes continuous action against corruption. If any public servant is demanding bribe in exchange for government work, then a complaint can be made on the anti-bribery helpline number – 9454401866. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
