Two accused, who had assaulted a police station constable two days ago in Atraulia police station area of Azamgarh district, were arrested on Friday evening. These two accused are accused of a collision between two bikers and a cyclist on the night of November 19.

The accused are Omprakash Nishad, Vijay Nishad Babu Nishad, Jairam Nishad, Ajit Nishad, Bhogelal Nishad, Jayant Nishad, Rampreet Nishad, Amit Nishad and Ajay Verma. The police were busy searching for the accused after registering a case against them for assaulting a constable. Two accused have been arrested in this sequence.

Sub Inspector Rajendra Kumar, who is investigating this case, said that Omprakash Nishad and Ajit Nishad, who assaulted the police constable, have been arrested near Budhanpur Tirahe. Both the accused are being sent to the court from where they will be sent to jail. Along with this, the absconding accused involved in this incident are being searched. Who will be arrested soon.
