In Lalitpur district, a case of death of a villager has come to light three months after undergoing operation for piles. The deceased’s wife Saroj along with her five daughters and family members reached the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office and pleaded for justice. he submitted the memorandum

Saroj’s husband Virendra (38), resident of village Bamhorikalan of Jakhlaun police station area, was suffering from piles problem. On June 25, he went to a Chandsi doctor located at Najai Bazaar in Kotwali Sadar area for treatment. The doctor operated on the piles and charged a fee of Rs 15,000. Virendra returned home after the operation, but his health continued to deteriorate.
Allegations of negligence in treatment
When Virendra went to the same doctor again on July 11, the doctor refused to treat him. After this he was admitted to Medical College Lalitpur. When there was no improvement there, he was referred to Jhansi Medical College and then Bhopal AIIMS. Despite all the treatment, Virendra’s condition did not improve and he died on 5 October.
Accusations against Chandsi doctor and sons
Saroj accused Chandsi doctor and his two sons of carrying out the operation negligently. She says that her husband lost his life due to a wrongly performed operation. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed said that the matter is being investigated. Further action will be taken based on the facts that emerge in the investigation.
The relatives of the deceased and the villagers are demanding strict action against the culprits. He says that steps should be taken against negligent doctors so that such incidents do not recur in future.
