Babu of the office of Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer in Mainpuri has been seriously accused of fraud of Rs 42 lakh. Babu Prashant Shukla is accused of giving fake appointment letters to 17 people in the name of getting them a job in the health department of Saifai Medical College.

Let us know the whole matter… Ward boy Om Bahadur told in his complaint to the Superintendent of Police that he was identified by Prashant Shukla, who claimed to get a job in the Ayurveda Department. Om Bahadur collected Rs 42 lakh from his wife and 17 relatives and gave it to Prashant Shukla. Everyone was given fake appointment letters bearing the signatures and seals of officials. When they reached for joining, the letters turned out to be fake.
Threatened to demand money back When the job did not materialise, the victims asked for the money back from Prashant Shukla. He kept procrastinating and eventually started abusing and threatening to kill. The cheated people were forced to approach Superintendent of Police Vinod Kumar Singh and lodged a complaint.
Police registered a case On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, a case has been registered against Prashant Shukla in Sadar Kotwali and investigation has been started. Kotwali in-charge Fateh Singh Bhadauria said that a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections. The matter will be revealed soon.
