Bigg Boss 18: Salman Khan addressed key issues in the house, blending his advice with anecdotes from his personal and professional life.
Tonight’s Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, keeping the audience glued to their screens. Host Salman Khan addressed key issues in the house and also shared some words of wisdom with anecdotes from his personal and professional life. A major highlight was Salman reprimanding Rajat Dalal for threatening fellow contestants and flaunting his so-called influential contacts. Salman also shared a heartfelt story about his past, talking about the value of humility and learning from mistakes.
The episode kicked off with Salman Khan interacting with the three wildcard contestants who recently entered the house. He teased the male contestants for appearing overly excited about the wildcard entries. Salman then turned his attention to Yamini Malhotra, asking about her profession. Yamini revealed that she is a dentist and a lawyer, but also enjoys working in the entertainment industry. Salman couldn’t help but quip, “Aaj kal drama karne wali hi aa rahi hai life mei sab (Nowadays all women who do dramas are coming into my life),” leaving everyone laughing.
As the conversation progressed, contestant Shilpa Shirodkar shared that she had been preoccupied with an argument involving Rajat Dalal when the wildcards arrived. The host addressed Rajat’s behaviour, warning him against threatening others with his supposed network of 30-40 men. Salman explained that such actions might backfire on him and damage his reputation, especially since everything is being recorded.
In a firm yet instructive tone, Salman said, “Agar muje kisko kuch chetavni deni hai, kisi ko lalkaarna hai toh mai kisi aur ke naam se nahi karunga. Mai karunga toh khudke balbute pe karunga. Agar mere mei shamta hai shakti toh jise panga lena hai mei le lunga (If I want to threaten someone, I will do it on my own, not by using someone else’s name. If I have the strength, I will handle the matter myself).”
Salman further advised Rajat to focus on his family responsibilities and avoid making unnecessary threats. He revealed, “Abhi jaake humne aapka ek problem handle kiya hai. Joh aapne kaha aur jab TV par dikhayi diya tha (We have handled one of your problems after what you said on TV).” Salman reminded Rajat that such behaviour could harm his life in the long run, adding, “Mere upar bhi bohot saare cases hai toh mai jaanta hu (There are many cases filed against me, so I know).”
The episode also saw Salman discussing posture and body language. He explained how cameras amplify small actions, reminding Rajat to be mindful of his behaviour. Rajat clarified that he habitually sits with one leg resting on the other, a gesture Salman admitted he shares. Reflecting on his past, Salman mentioned a clip where his posture at a police station was misinterpreted.
Salman recounted, “I had no involvement, so I had no reason to be scared. But when an official or senior arrives, it is important to stand and respect the badge. When I saw that old clip, I myself didn’t like what I did.”
The host then delved into his younger days, sharing a personal anecdote about leaving behind his troubled past at the age of 17-18. Salman revealed how he apologised to people he had hurt and sought their support as he pursued a career in acting. He said, “Humne sabne 17-18 saal ki umar mei pichli zindagi ko bohot dur chod diya hai. Sabse jaake maafi maang kar aaye hai ki ‘Jitne jhagde the, hero ban raha hu, chod de bhai.’ Aur sab bade khush hue ki actor ban jayega kya, humara support tere sath hai (At 17-18, I left my past behind and apologized to everyone, saying I was going to be an actor. They were happy and supported me).”
