There were protests in Shahjahanpur for the last few days regarding shortage of fertilizers and black marketing. Meanwhile, DM Dharmendra Pratap Singh, while giving relief information, said that Shahjahanpur district has been allotted 2750 metric tons of fertilizer from IFFCO and 1330 metric tons of fertilizer from KRIBHCO.

Instructions to control black marketing

DM has given strict instructions to private sector retailers to compulsorily put up stock and rate banners outside the shops. Strictness has been increased at the administrative level after the BJP MLA complained about black marketing and overrating of fertilizers. The DM also clarified that sufficient quantity of DAP and NPK fertilizers are available with private sellers in the district.

Cooperation of cooperative societies for farmers

For the convenience of farmers, the government has allotted 30 percent of the fertilizer available in the private sector to cooperative societies. DM informed that 430 metric tons of fertilizer has already been allotted to the cooperative societies. The distribution of fertilizer is expected to increase further in the coming days.

Relief due to efforts of Agriculture Minister

Due to the instructions of the Chief Minister and the efforts of the Agriculture Minister, the district has been allotted 2750 metric tons of fertilizer from IFFCO and 1330 metric tons of fertilizer from KRIBHCO. The DM assured the farmers that the problem of fertilizer will be solved as soon as the distribution starts from Tuesday.

There is no possibility of fertilizer crisis in future

The DM has expressed confidence that the fertilizer will reach the district by Monday night and the distribution system will become smooth from Tuesday. He said that the administration is working with full caution, so that there is no problem of shortage of fertilizer in future.

Farmers hope to get relief

Amidst the protests over the fertilizer crisis, this news has brought relief to the farmers. Now it remains to be seen how smooth the distribution system is and whether the fertilizer reaches the farmers on time or not.
