A Delhi based bicycle company duped a Lucknow based woman businessman of lakhs of rupees on the pretext of giving her a franchise. Asked for 25 percent commission for franchise. Then took 20 lakhs in the name of cycle order. When they realized that they had been cheated and asked for the money back, they refused.

Archana, resident of Rana Pratap Marg, Hazratganj, has a firm in the name of Rime Marketeer. Archana told that in the year 2022, Delhi’s Autotech company was contacted for franchise. During the negotiations, franchise was obtained for wholesale and retail sale of Road Master Cycles. The fraudsters sealed the deal with Archana by luring them with huge profits.
The fraudsters said that the company will run Archana and the remaining expenses will be borne by the company. After this, the manager and other people involved in the fraud asked for 25 percent commission in exchange for the deal. For which he gave 25 lakhs. After this, ordered 500 cycles in April 2023 for which Rs 20 lakh was paid.
The company had to make delivery in Mirzapur. After many days the company did not deliver. On this Archana asked for her commission and order money back. The fraudsters started procrastinating in paying the money. They refused to pay the money after threatening to lapse a lot of time.
Inspector says that FIR has been registered and investigation is being done in the matter.
