Yuzvendra Chahal started playing cricket at the age of 4-5 years. His native village is Dariyawala of Jind. Yuzvendra Chahal’s cricket journey has been very challenging since the beginning. His father KK Chahal has been the secretary of Jind District Cricket Association. He had prepared a cricket pitch for them in his field adjacent to the railway station.
In the year 2000, he played in Haryana’s Under-14 team. In 2009 he played Ranji match for Haryana. He made his IPL debut in 2011 with Mumbai Indians team. Yuzvendra Chahal debuted in the Indian cricket team in 2016. He played his first match in Zimbabwe.
During an IPL match in 2013, when he was in Bengaluru, a fellow player threw him down under the influence of alcohol. This was revealed by Chahal himself during a conversation with teammates R Ashnin and Karun Nayak on his YouTube channel.
Chahal used to play cricket for 4 to 5 hours every day
Yuzvendra had told that my first guru is my father Advocate Krishna Kumar. He was the one who helped me in playing. I am a fan of Australian spinner Shane Warne. Met him during IPL in 2012. Then he gave many good information about bowling. Since then I had a dream to play in the Indian cricket team.
Used to play cricket for 4 to 5 hours every day since school days. Joined coach Randhir Singh’s academy in Delhi. Played IPL while staying there. Before getting selected in the Indian cricket team, he used to watch the matches of Zimbabwe-India in Faridabad and India-Australia in Chandigarh in the stadium.

Deep faith in Salasar Balaji
Yuzvendra Chahal had told the media channel that Rajasthan-based Salasar Balaji is our favorite deity. There is complete faith in him. For many years he has been continuously visiting Balaji Maharaj. Although parents have been coming here for last many years. Mother Sunita Chahal used to come to the fair with pedestrians on Sharad Purnima for about 10 years.

Married Dhanashree in December 2020
Yuzvendra Chahal was married to choreographer Dhanashree on 22 December 2020 in Gurugram. Both of them got acquainted during dance class. During the lockdown, Dhanashree used to run an online dance academy in Mumbai. Chahal had also joined the class. In 2019, from April to June, he started liking Dhanashree during class and then both of them fell in love. They got engaged on 8 August 2020.
