The police completed the formalities and conducted preliminary inquiry at Sarnath police station, in which many important information was obtained. Fake ID card of CM OSD was recovered from accused Dharmendra. A fake ID card of CM Social Media Cell in-charge was also found in his purse. Sarnath police station has increased the sections of fake documents in the case.

Chheetampur resident Dharmendra Kumar Choubey alias Pintu was presented in the CJM court. After getting information about the case, the judge described it as serious and after the hearing, the accused was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Inspector Paramhans Gupta, the main accused in the robbery, is still underground and his search is on.

Inspector Paramhans Gupta and fake OSD Dharmendra Choubey were captured in CCTV while coming out of the lift of Rudra Apartment, a bag of notes is also seen in their hands.

First let us tell you the events…

Inspector Paramhans Gupta raided Rudra Apartment on November 7 and carried out a robbery worth Rs 40 lakh. Along with him was a young man in civil dress, Dharmendra Choubey, who introduced himself to the guard as OSD of CM Yogi. Big businessmen of the city were gambling in the apartment, extorting money by threatening everyone.

It is alleged that the inspector kept Rs 40-41 lakh, meant for gambling, in two bags. A CCTV has also surfaced, in which it is seen that the inspector is coming down from the lift, the young man with him is holding two bags in his hand. After the CCTV went viral, the Police Commissioner first called Inspector Paramhans Gupta to the line and then suspended him.

DCP Varuna Chandrakant Meena handed over the investigation to ADCP, in which the entire matter became clear. SO Sarnath Vivek Tripathi filed a complaint and got the case registered on the basis of information from his side.

Let us tell you that Inspector Paramhans Gupta has an old association with controversies. During his posting in Varanasi, when he was the head of Chetganj and Cholapur police station, the officers had removed him on complaints and carelessness, but then he got a lucrative position through jugaad.

Dharmendra Choubey, the sub-inspector’s associate and calling himself OSD to the CM, reached his home carrying a bag of money.

Sarnath SO had lodged FIR

When no plaintiff was found against the then Inspector Paramhans Gupta, who looted Rs 41 lakh during a gambling raid in Rudra Heights, Sarnath, SO Sarnath had filed a case against the Inspector. Meanwhile, after arranging with the officers of Lucknow, he got transferred from Banaras.

Sarnath SO along with former SHO registered a case against Dharmendra Choubey, owner of Rudra Heights and other unknown people who became fake OSD of CM. After the FIR was registered, Inspector and Dharmendra Choubey have gone underground.
