A woman living with her husband in Rudrapur city of Uttarakhand committed suicide by hanging herself. The husband quietly brought the body from Rudrapur to his village. On receiving the information, Bhojipura police, after taking action in the Panchayat Nama, sent the body for post-mortem.

Rajesh Kumar Kashyap, resident of Paiga village of Bhojipura police station area, along with his wife Preeti, used to work in a steel factory while living in a rented house in Mohalla Kheda of Police Station Kotwali in Rudrapur. Yesterday, a married woman, Preeti, fed up with domestic disputes, committed suicide by hanging herself when her husband was on duty in the factory.
When Rajesh got information about the incident through some medium, he came to his village Paiga with his wife’s dead body without informing Rudrapur police. When Bhojipura police got information through some medium, they reached the village and took Preeti’s body into their custody.
After the action of Panchayat Nama, the police sent the body for post-mortem. After receiving the information, the woman’s maternal family also came from Umedpur village of Bhuta. Inspector in-charge Bhojipura Praveen Solanki said that the post-mortem of the woman has been done. Any action will be taken from Rudrapur only.
