Karnataka home minister G Parmeshwara on Sunday said Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance partners lost the elections in Maharashtra due to the lack of cooperation and coordinated effort among themselves.

According to a report by India Today, Parmeshwar said that the Congress did not provide full support to Shiv Sena (UBT) in multiple constituencies. He added that Uddhav Thackeray’s party also showed a similar lack of cooperation. A gap in collaboration was also seen from the Sharad Pawar-led NCP.

“In many places, we didn’t work for them, and they didn’t work for us. When we are in an alliance, we need to support Shiv Sena candidates, and Shiv Sena must support our candidates. The same issue occurred with Sharad Pawar’s party as well,” Parameshwara, a Congress election-in-charge, was quoted as saying by India Today.

He then went on to blame Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and said BJP is an “expert” when it comes to hacking EVMs.

“What we have discussed among our leaders is that, in our country, as long as we have EVMs, it will be very difficult for Congress or any other party to come to power. They (the BJP) are experts in hacking EVMs; they manipulate them wherever they want,” he further added, according to the broadcaster.
