An incident of robbery of a businessman returning from a marriage function has come to light in Sitapur DS Kotwali Dehat area. Businessman Manoj Srivastava has alleged that three miscreants riding a bike stopped his car near Kanwakheda bridge and stole a gold chain and five thousand rupees.

The fleeing criminal was captured in CCTV, the police started investigation. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started the investigation. Pictures of the miscreants’ escape have been captured in a CCTV camera installed in the area. Based on these clues, the police have intensified the investigation.
Police’s different claim regarding the incident: Additional Superintendent of Police Prakash termed the incident as suspicious and said that this case seems to be more of a mutual fight than robbery. The police have detained a named youth and he is being interrogated. The ASP has assured that the truth of the matter will be brought out soon.
