Bihar Police presented Raju Chaurasia and Inspector Kushwaha, the main accused in the murder case of notorious liquor smuggler Ajit Singh alias Jadi, the village head of Janjirha village of Deoria DS Bankata police station area, in the Deoria court on Monday. The court sentenced both of them to judicial custody.

Both the accused were caught with liquor in Hajipur. Raju Chaurasia and Inspector Kushwaha were absconding since the murder of Ajit Singh. UP Police and SOG teams were continuously raiding Bihar. On November 9, both were arrested with liquor in Hajipur, Bihar. At present both are lodged in Hajipur jail.
The reason for the murder was revealed after remand. On the night of 31st October in Bankata police station area, Pradhan Ajit Singh was shot dead while gambling in Sohanpur market. In this case, a case of murder was registered against four named and three unidentified people on the complaint of the deceased’s father Dhruv Ji Singh. The police have arrested some accused related to the incident and sent them to jail, but the real reason for the murder will be revealed only after the remand of the main accused.
Police station head gave information. Police station head Bankata Inspector Santosh Kumar Singh said that Raju Chaurasia and Inspector Kushwaha have been produced. Judicial remand has been obtained and efforts are being made for police custody remand. After getting the remand, the entire conspiracy behind the murder and other names will be revealed.
Action taken so far: Police have arrested landlord Pankaj Jaiswal, who was gambling on the day of the murder, Pradeep and Deepak Madheshiya, who did Reiki, and sent them to jail. The police is preparing for the custodial remand of the accused to connect every link related to Pradhan’s murder.
