In Bulandshahr, farmers demonstrated strongly demanding electricity privatization and payment of sugarcane dues. On the call of United Kisan Morcha, workers of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) surrounded the Collectorate gate. Hundreds of farmers used tractor trolley and bus.

Sugarcane dues payment issue The protesters accused the sugarcane mills of owing crores of rupees to the farmers and demanded immediate payment. Now Singh, District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union, said that if sugarcane payment is not made soon, the farmer organizations will adopt the path of violent agitation.
Officers reached among the farmers During the demonstration, officials talked to the farmers and tried to pacify them. However, the farmers remained adamant on their demands and kept raising slogans against power privatization. The protesters completely closed the gate of the Collectorate, while the officials kept trying to convince the farmers. The protest is currently going on and the pressure on the demands of the farmers is increasing.
