Gautam Gambhir is returning to India due to serious personal reasons.

Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir is returning home amid the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He will not be with the Indian team in the second practice match starting from November 30 in Canberra. However, he will join the team before the Adelaide Test to be held from December 6.

Indian Express quoted a source and wrote – ‘He is returning to India due to serious personal reasons and will join the team before the second Test. Gambhir has cited personal reasons. The Indian team will go to Canberra on Wednesday, 27th November, where Team India will play its second practice match against Prime Minister-11 from 30th November. At present, the Indian team is leading 1-0 in the 5 Test series.

Training under the supervision of Nair and Morkel In the absence of Gautam Gambhir, the Indian team will train under the supervision of other coaching staff. In this, assistant coaches Abhishek Nair and Ryan ten Doeschate, bowling coaches Morne Morkel and T Delish will train on the advice of captain Rohit Sharma.

India won Perth Test by 295 runs The Indian team defeated Australia by 295 runs in the Perth Test on Monday, 26 November. The Kangaroo team, which was chasing 534 runs on the fourth day, was all out for 238 runs in the second innings. India declared the second innings at 487 runs for 6 wickets. Team India had scored 150 runs in the first innings. In reply, Australia’s first innings was reduced to 104 runs.
