Rapid response team will stop pollution Divisional Commissioner Amit Gupta has instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic and RTO to increase strictness in this regard. Along with this, to prevent the air quality index from deteriorating, it has also been asked to form a Rapid Response Team, which will work on improving the traffic system. Where AQI increases, this team will work to get rid of jam and smoke.

AQI has crossed 300 several times in the past few days. In such a situation, the Divisional Commissioner has given instructions to the departments to take effective steps regarding prevention and control of air pollution.
Instructions given to all departments Divisional Commissioner has given the responsibility to Municipal Corporation, KDA, PWD, NSI, Metro, Housing Development, Police, RTO, UPPCB and all the implementing agencies to prevent air pollution. The Municipal Corporation has been asked to stop open burning of garbage and other items, dispose of garbage and do door to door collection.
There will be a ban on construction materials being sold in the open.
Action on selling construction material in open Instructions have been given to take action against those selling construction materials in the open. Along with this, instructions have been given to remove dust on city roads, clean with mechanical sweeping machines, sprinkle water and increase manual sweeping.
Roads that generate the most dust will be marked Along with this, KDA and Municipal Corporation have been asked to select three such roads where dust blows more at an interval of 15 days. These roads have been selected and asked to develop green belts here.

The Divisional Commissioner has told all the implementing agencies that the soil at the construction sites should always be kept wet so that dust cannot blow up and spoil the air quality.
Vehicles causing pollution will be confiscated Under the scrap policy of the Transport Ministry, there is a policy to declare 15 years old commercial and 20 years old private vehicles as scrap. Instructions have been given to the RTO and traffic police in the city to take action to confiscate such vehicles, so that air pollution can be stopped. Along with this, PUC certificate should be checked.
