League matches and pre-quarter matches were held on Wednesday in the Junior National Competition of Kho-Kho being held at Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar District Stadium, Aligarh. In this, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Delhi, Kolhapur, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu won by defeating the rival teams.

State Coordinator Ravikant said that 20 league matches remaining from Tuesday took place on Wednesday. After this, pre-quarterfinal matches were played in the girls category. In the pre-quarterfinal match in the girls category, Maharashtra vs Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra was the winner by 30 points, Chhattisgarh by 16 points, Maharashtra by 14 points.
The players were first introduced to each other, after which the matches began.
Various matches held in pre quarter finals
After the league matches, pre-quarterfinal matches were played. In this, Gujarat vs Punjab, Punjab won by 28 points. In Telangana vs Delhi, Delhi won by 27 points. In Kolhapur vs Vidarbha, Kolhapur won by 27 points. In Haryana vs Karnataka, Karnataka won by 18 points. In Tamil Nadu vs West Bengal, Tamil Nadu won by 31 points.
Whereas in the boys category, pre-quarter final matches are yet to be played between Maharashtra vs Kolhapur, Chhattisgarh vs Delhi, Karnataka vs Gujarat, Vidarbha vs Orissa, which will be completed on Thursday. Chief Coordinator of the competition, Basic Education Officer, Dr. Rakesh Singh said that 32 teams of girls and 32 of boys are participating in the competition. On the second day also, league competition was played in four bridges.

In the league match of the competition, Haryana vs Gujarat in the girls category, Haryana became the winner by 23 points, Gujarat by 24 points, Gujarat by one point. In the match played between Karnataka and Punjab, Karnataka won by 26 points. In the match played between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Tamil Nadu was the winner by 21 points. Between West Bengal and Rajasthan, Rajasthan was the winner by 26 points. Maharashtra became the winner by defeating Uttar Pradesh by 28 points. Orissa defeated Chhattisgarh by 25 points and Delhi defeated Vidarbha by 25 points to become the winner.
The girls’ team is also participating in the competitions with full enthusiasm.
UP becomes winner in boys league
In the league match played in the boys category, Maharashtra became the winner by defeating Puducherry by 39 points. Orissa defeated Kolhapur by 40 points. Kerala defeated Andhra Pradesh by 26 points, Tamil Nadu defeated Haryana by 31 points. UP emerged winner over Telangana by 35 points. West Bengal became the winner by defeating Jharkhand by 39 points.
