The Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the list of the top 30 K-pop idol groups in November.
The brand reputation rankings for K-pop idol groups for the month of November are in! And guess what? BLACKPINK and BTS, despite being inactive at present, dominate the list. The Korean Business Research Institute unveiled the list of the idol group brand reputation rankings using data collected from October 21 to November 21. The analysis highlights the popularity and influence of the K-pop groups, considering factors like consumer participation, community awareness indexes, interaction, and media coverage.
BLACKPINK topped the chart for the month of November, thanks to Rose’s chartbuster song APT. in collaboration with Bruno Mars. The girl group under YG Entertainment saw a remarkable 304.10 per cent increase in its brand reputation index compared to October. Thus, BLACKPINK has an impressive score of 12,846,175 this month.
The four-membered K-pop girl group, comprising Jisoo, Jennie, Lisa and Rose, has been inactive since last year, but they have continued releasing new music individually. The group’s keyword analysis revealed high-ranking phrases such as Rosé, APT., and BLINK, while related terms like hot, cool, and fun highlighted their positive image. Furthermore, their positivity-negativity analysis score stood at 93.04 per cent positive reactions.
Speaking of the globally popular K-pop group BTS, the septet is on a hiatus as the members have been completing their mandatory military services. The group is said to make a comeback in the second half of 2025. As per the list, BTS has risen to the second position with a brand reputation index of 8,728,901, which is a staggering 252.25 per cent increase from October. Despite the members focusing on their solo careers and fulfilling their military duties, the group’s dedicated fan base and global popularity made them one of the top groups on the list.
On the other hand, IVE, the six-member girl group, has been ranked at number 3. They recorded a score of 7,892,369, marking a 105.08 per cent rise since last month. Aespa, another powerhouse K-pop girl group, has secured fourth place on the list. Their brand reputation index stood at 7,163,180, which is an increase of 72.55 per cent from their score last month.
At 5th position is SEVENTEEN, with a brand reputation index of 6,196,480, a modest 3.10% increase from last month. The 13-member group recently took home many big honours at the 2024 MAMA Awards ceremony. Other popular groups that have secured a place in the Top 30 idol group brand reputation list are BIGBANG, TWS, NCT, Stary Kids, and Red Velvet, among others.
