Beau Webster scored 145 runs while remaining unbeaten twice in the unofficial test against India-A. Also took 7 wickets.

Due to all-rounder Mitchell Marsh not being fully fit, Australia has included Tasmania’s all-rounder Beau Webster in the team. Webster can bat along with spin and medium pace bowling. A report claimed that Webster has been selected as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh.

Australia’s head coach and selector Andrew McDonald, while announcing the team for the Adelaide Test, had said a day earlier – ‘There is some doubt over Marsh’s fitness. Australian captain Pat Cummins had also expressed concern about Marsh’s fitness. However, no changes were made in the Perth Test team.
