A fire broke out on Wednesday at a CNG station located on the highway of Jahangirabad Kotwali area in Bulandshahr. As soon as the fire broke out, the employees and customers present at the petrol pump ran away to save their lives. It was fortunate that the fire department was located just 50 meters away from the incident site.

According to eyewitnesses, no one present at the spot had any arrangements to deal with the situation after the fire. This clearly shows that fire extinguishing equipment and safety standards were ignored by the petrol pump operators. People made a video of the incident and made it viral. Flames and an atmosphere of stampede can be clearly seen in the video.
The fire brigade team reached on time and controlled the fire. After this the department has started investigating the incident. Local people say that there is often negligence regarding safety standards at petrol pumps, which can lead to a major accident in future.
