Chandra Prakash (41), resident of Dastampur village of Kanpur Dehat, was a boatman by profession. Brother Sunil told that on 22nd November, a marriage procession from the village had gone to Jehanabad. Chandraprakash was taken there in a boat. Sunil also attended the wedding. Sunil told that Chandraprakash had a dispute with the boys regarding a transaction there.

According to Sunil, when the wedding procession returned the next day, Chandraprakash was made to sit in the dowry loader. Sunil alleged that on the way, loader rider Umesh and another person beat Chandraprakash mercilessly. In his injured condition he was left near Kapli Mod Panki.

Brother tied with a towel and taken to hospital

Sunil told that he was coming from behind on a motorcycle. Then he saw Chandraprakash injured. He himself tied the injured brother with a towel and took him to Smriddhi Hospital in Panki. There the doctors told that there was a serious injury to the spinal cord. When his condition worsened on November 27, he was taken to Hallett Hospital where he died. Chandra Prakash’s family members created a ruckus in the hospital located in Panki but the police pacified them.

Left behind four daughters and one son

Chandra Prakash is survived by his wife Asha, four daughters Guddan, Khushboo, Sunila, Guddan and a son Sushil. The family members were in a bad state of crying after the incident.

In this case, Inspector Panki Manvendra Singh said that the deceased was not assaulted. He got crushed between the cupboards kept in the loader due to which he suffered serious injuries. Still, if the family members file a complaint then action will be taken.
