Lucknow’s Alambagh police arrested two accused of gang rape. The accused entered the house, assaulted the woman, raped her and ran away. The accused were absconding for about a month.

On October 29, the victim, resident of Alambagh, had accused Vikrant’s son Rajaram alias Shankar and Vicky alias Vishwanath of gang rape after entering the house in an intoxicated state. The victim told that the accused ran away after threatening to beat her, kill her family and take over the house. After which the victim lodged a complaint at Alambagh police station. On the complaint of the victim, a case was registered and the search for the accused was started. Police caught Vikrant and Vicky alias Vishwanath on Thursday. During interrogation it was told that Vikrant is a resident of Rae Bareli. Lives in Mawaiya of Alambagh, Lucknow. Vicky lives in Mawaiya only.
The rape was done by threatening to take over the house. The victim had told that Vikrant and Vicky alias Vishwanath along with some people had forcefully entered her house with the intention of taking over the house. When she protested against the accused, she was taken hostage and gang-raped. After this they ran away after beating them. Case Inspector Kapil Gautam says that the role of other accused is being investigated.
