The Vice Chancellor said that the University also has high expectations and aspirations from the newly appointed faculty members and the teachers should make efforts to live up to them. He said that the new members should not only cooperate in each other’s progress through mutual dialogue and constant contact but also pave the way for mutual progress by developing a sense of community. Pro. Jain said that Banaras Hindu University expects its teachers to be aspirational and known for excellence. For this, the university is taking several initiatives for capacity building and creating new opportunities.

University committed to professional development of teachers
The Vice Chancellor said that the university is committed to the professional development of new faculty members and work is going on on many schemes in this direction. He motivated the faculty members to work on excellent research projects and said that a senior professor in all the faculties has been specially requested to guide and mentor the new teachers. The Vice Chancellor informed that arrangements are being made to facilitate the new faculty members in adopting the new system. He said that the university administration is trying to ensure that the faculty members do not have to run here and there for various procedural reasons and administrative tasks.
University is working on ease of living
During this, the Vice Chancellor also wanted to know the views of the faculty members and understand what kind of challenges they are facing. He also sought suggestions from the teachers so that the idea of Ease of Living can be realized in the university. Registrar Prof. Arun Kumar Singh said that the university is working on many new initiatives, due to which the valuable time of the faculty members is wasted in getting entangled in the processes.
