Speeding truck hits bike Santosh Vishwakarma was returning home from Bihasada market with his wife Suman when a speeding truck going from Mirzapur towards Prayagraj hit his bike. Both husband and wife were seriously injured in the collision with the truck. As soon as the accident happened, the truck driver jumped from the vehicle and ran away. After the accident, nearby people took the injured Santosh and Suman to Sarroi Health Center in a private vehicle.
Suman’s death, Santosh’s treatment continues Doctors declared Suman dead, while Santosh Vishwakarma was discharged from the hospital after first aid. The deceased is survived by two sons and a daughter. Complaining about the accident, Santosh alleged that the truck driver ran over his wife while driving at high speed and carelessly.
Police seized the truck Police station in-charge Shailesh Rai said that the body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem. Relatives of the dead woman have reached the spot. The police have also taken possession of the truck and started investigating the matter. The search for the truck driver is ongoing.
