Police has arrested the criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50 thousand.
In a joint operation of STF Prayagraj Unit and Fatanpur Police, inter-district criminal Sakil alias Wasim, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, has been arrested. This arrest took place near Amar Complex in Gauriganj in Amethi district. Accused in many districts including Pratapgarh

The arrested accused has been identified as Sakil alias Wasim (40 years), resident of village Asaon, police station Sangipur, district Pratapgarh. Cases are registered against him under many serious sections including robbery, theft, attempt to murder, Arms Act, fraud and Gangster Act.
There are cases against the accused in Pratapgarh, Prayagraj, Amethi, Kaushambi, Jaunpur, Kanpur, Basti, Barabanki. Case No. 48/2024 registered in Fatanpur police station of Pratapgarh, he was wanted under section 392/328/364 IPC. The STF used electronic and manual evidence to trace the location of the accused.
The team led by Inspector Anil Kumar Singh raided Gauriganj and arrested Sakil. The role of head constable Vikas Tiwari, Sajid Ali, Abhishek, Ajay Kumar Yadav and driver Ravikant Singh in this operation was commendable.
Big success in crime control Police and STF have got a big success with the arrest of Sakil. This will help in crime control in the area. Police said that earlier in this case, two accused have been sent to jail and another accused is detained in Naini jail. Action has been intensified in the pending cases registered against Sakil in other districts. The police have started the process of remand by presenting Sakil in the concerned court.
