Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan made a rare public appearance at a star-studded sports event in Mumbai on Friday evening. The megastar’s presence grabbed attention as it came amidst swirling rumours about his son Abhishek Bachchan’s alleged divorce from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Dressed in a casual yet stylish hoodie paired with black track pants, Amitabh was all smiles as he posed for photographers before entering the venue. The actor waved at the paparazzi, flaunting his usual charm.

While neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya has publicly commented on the divorce rumours, Amitabh Bachchan appeared to address the issue indirectly through a blog post dated November 21, 2024. In his post, the Piku actor criticised “unverified rumours” and spoke about the importance of respecting family privacy.
“It takes immense courage, conviction, and sincerity to be different and believe in its presence in life,” he wrote. “I rarely say much about family because that is my domain, and its privacy is maintained by me… Speculations are speculations… they are speculated untruths, without verifications.”

Professionally, Amitabh Bachchan remains as busy as ever. He is currently hosting the 16th season of the iconic quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, which continues to entertain audiences across India.
