Anand Sreebala, an investigation thriller directed by Vishnu Vinay, released at the cinema halls on November 15, 2024. This film headlined by the actor Arjun Ashokan has received mixed reviews but set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Currently, Anand Sreebala has registered its third week at the box office, and is receiving immense audience support.
The audience is reportedly looking forward to watching the regular and prime-time shows of this film. As per the reports, this film is showing housefull signs on the online ticket booking apps. This can be the sign that Anand Sreebala is heading towards a big hit at the box office. According to the official industry tracker Sacnilk, this film has earned Rs 1.4 crore at the box office.
This film stars Aparna Das, Indrans, Saiju Kurup and others in important roles. Ann Mega Media Release and Kavya Film Company have backed Anand Sreebala, a Malayalam film.
Apart from the cast, Anand Sreebala’s technical front includes Chandrakanth Madhavan as the cinematographer. Kiran Das has handled the film’s editing. Ranjin Raj has scored the film’s music. Sabu Ram is the film’s art director. Anand Sreebala’s storyline revolves around a gripping missing-person case. The central plot revolves around Merin Joy, a young girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances. Abhilash Pillai has penned the film’s script.
Abhilash Pillai, Anand Sreebala’s scriptwriter talked about the cases that were used as references for the film’s premise. In an interview, Abhilash said that his film is inspired by Mishel Shaji death’s case and 2 other incidents. Shaji’s body was found in the backwaters of Kochi in 2017. The Anand Sreebala scriptwriter said that he has always tried to keep a thread based on real-life events intact. According to him, he weaves a cinematic story around it. He added, “But Anand Sreebala was a much more challenging project in that regard, because I have taken references from two to three real-life cases which are still live. That’s why it was also more time-consuming process as compared to my previous projects. It took almost one-and-a-half years to script this film.”
