PB Sindhu defeated China’s Dai Wang

In women’s singles, top seed PV Sindhu of India defeated Dai Wang of China 21-15, 21-17. Sindhu maintained her hold in both the sets of today’s match. PB Sindhu, ranked 18th in the world, played well against her 118th world ranked opponent from China. PB Sindhu will face India’s Unnati Hooda (Odisha Open 2022 winner) in the next round.

Who defeated Ishika Jaiswal of America 21-16, 21-9 in another match. In men’s singles, second seed Priyanshu Rajawat of India defeated Nguyen He Dang of Vietnam 21-13, 21-8. Priyanshu will now face fourth seed Jia Heng Jason Teoh of Singapore, who defeated India’s R. Sanjeevi Satish Kumar 21-10, 22-20, in the semi-finals.

In the mixed doubles quarterfinals, fifth seeds Dhruv Kapila and Tanisha Crasto of India defeated Lu Bing Kuo and Ho Lo Yi of Malaysia 21-16, 21-13. Tanisha Crasto, who partnered with Olympian Ashwini Ponnappa in the women’s doubles quarter-finals, defeated fifth-seeded compatriots Shruti Mishra and Priya Konjengbam 21-12, 17-21, 21-16.
