Maharashtra New CM LIVE Updates: Five days after the election results in Maharashtra, Mahayuti leaders have held several meetings in Mumbai and New Delhi, but the suspense over who will be the next chief minister of the state continues. The alliance secured a resounding victory in last week’s assembly elections.
A crucial meeting of Mahayuti leaders took place at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s residence in New Delhi on Thursday night. Attendees included Maharashtra’s caretaker Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, former CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, and BJP President JP Nadda.
Before the meeting, Shinde met Amit Shah directly upon arriving in New Delhi from Mumbai. Shinde went straight to Shah’s residence on Krishna Menon Marg, where BJP President JP Nadda was already present. Fadnavis and Pawar joined the discussions later. During the meeting, Shinde requested the Home and Urban Development departments.
Earlier on Wednesday, Shinde stated that he would not hinder the formation of the Mahayuti government and would accept the BJP’s final decision on the chief minister’s selection.
