The 43rd Junior National Kho-Kho Championship going on in Aligarh concluded on Friday. On the last day of the competition, the final matches of boys and girls category were played, in which the Maharashtra team performed strongly and won the winning trophy.

Maharashtra players performed better in boys and girls category and were champions in both the categories. In both the categories, Maharashtra had to compete with the Orissa team, which could not win the final match and in both the categories, the Orissa team was the runner-up.
The runner-up team was also given a trophy.
National Championship held in Aligarh for the first time
This was the first time that Aligarh got a chance to host the National Tournament. About 66 teams from different states participated in the competition, among which competitions took place continuously for 5 days. In the end Maharashtra and Orissa made it to the finals.
First, the final of the boys category was held, in which Maharashtra scored 33 points. Whereas the runner-up team of Orissa could score only 29 points. Maharashtra won by 4 points. In the girls category, Orissa scored 20 points and Maharashtra team won by scoring 24 points. After which the winners were honored.
The guests encouraged
Kol MLA Anil Parashar was present as the chief guest, who honored the winning players with prizes. Along with this, he encouraged the players to continuously move forward and bring glory to their parents and country.
During the program, BSA Dr. Rakesh Singh, Regional Sports Officer Anil Kumar and various officers and employees of the Education Department and Sports Department were present.
