Police force deployed for security, surveillance through drones and CCTV Heavy deployment of police force has been made in the mosque area, along with surveillance through drones and CCTV cameras. Out of the three routes to the mosque, two have been completely closed and traffic is moving through only one route. Security has been especially increased in this area after the death of four people in the violence last week.
Shopkeepers appeal for peace Kamran, a shopkeeper near the royal Jama Masjid in Sambhal, said everyone should let the law take its course to maintain peace. He appealed to the shopkeepers to open their shops and do business, so that the atmosphere can become normal. He said, “I am 52 years old and have offered namaz in this mosque since childhood, we should get an opportunity to run our business.”
As to who should be held responsible, the shopkeepers said – “The court will do its work” On the question of survey of the mosque, Kamran said that this is the work of the court and no one needs to speak in it. On the question of who should be held responsible for the violence, he said that he did not want to say anything on this. He further said that he would not like to comment on the claim of the Hindu side also.
Impact of business in rural areas Meanwhile, business in the market near Shahi Jama Masjid has been affected. A shopkeeper vacated his warm clothes shop and said that now people will not come to shop from here. People from rural areas are now going to Moradabad and Chandausi for shopping.
