Cutting tiny veggies can be a task for some. After all, it is not easy to chop those already small vegetables into pieces. To help you out, a social media chef has come up with a kitchen hack, enabling you to chop the chillies and small veggies without getting hurt. To make it easy for you, he dropped a video on Instagram wherein he is seen adopting a convenient method, inspired by an Indian women’s idea. But, it is not as simple as you think.

In the now-viral video, we can see the chef Anatolii Dobrovolskyi referring to an Indian woman for an easy method to chop chillies. The video opens to showcase the woman using an icecream stick and plastic rubber to safeguard her thumb while chopping chillies into small pieces. How, you may ask? She, first, fixes the stick around her thumb using the plastic rubber, creating a layer. Why? To prevent the thumb from getting hurt while she uses the knife against it when cutting small veggies. Seemingly impressed, the chef decides to follow her method and collects the required items. Step by step, he performs the hack and at the end, shows the chopped chilli in front of the camera.

Captioning the video, he wrote, “Thanks for inspiration sangita’s kitchen. Struggling to chop tiny veggies without a trip to the ER? Tried this hack, and let’s just say it was an adventure! Watch till the end for the verdict. Can you do it better?”

In the comment section, some users praised the chef for his enthusiasm whereas a section of people advised him to use a chopping board instead. A user questioned, “What about your other hand holding the pepper?” “But why can’t I just use a cutting board??” wondered another. An individual remarked, “My knife would slice through the little stick.” One of them approved of the hack saying, “That is so smart!!” “Your enthusiasm is amazing!! Bravo chef,” read another motivating comment.

Before this, a garlic peeling hack also made it to the Internet. In a video, a person was seen using a tool similar to a sharp tong/tweezer/clipper to separate cloves from a whole garlic bulb. “Just learned the simplest trick to peel garlic. I just normally smash it on my countertop!” read the caption of the viral post that had people believing that it was unnecessarily complicated.
