Police and businessman became suspicious after seeing manly gait in salwar suit
DCP South Ankita Sharma revealed the theft in a press conference. DCP South said that on the night of November 18, jewelery and cash worth Rs 15 were stolen from the house of auto parts businessman Manish Goyal, resident of Govindnagar J-Block. Manish lives on the first floor of the house, had gone to attend the wedding ceremony with his family after locking it. When he returned around 4 in the morning, he entered through the main gate, but the main gate of the first floor portion did not open. Thinking there was a technical fault in the lock, the family slept in the brother’s house living on the second floor. Whenever the lock did not open in the morning, I became suspicious and noticed that the window was open. When we entered through the window, we were stunned. The lock of the cupboard was broken, all the stuff from the cupboard to the bed was scattered. The vicious thieves had taken away jewelery worth Rs 1.50 lakh and about Rs 15 lakh kept in the locker.
When Govind Nagar police reached the information and registered a report of theft in the case and started investigation, they were stunned. About 150 CCTV footages were scrutinized. There was a woman in salwar suit and a masked youth with her. But the police became suspicious due to the manly behavior of the woman. When the police searched about 150 CCTVs, the face of the thief in salwar suit came to light. When the landlord Manish saw, he said that this person looks like Satyam Yadav who is doing construction work in the house. After this, when the police checked Satyam’s location and call details on the night of the theft, it became clear that Satyam had committed the theft. After this the police arrested Satyam. When interrogated strictly, he broke down and told that he himself had committed the theft.
