Inspector Mahamaya Prasad Singh in Vigilance Kanpur Unit has lodged an FIR in the Vigilance Police Station under the section of Prevention of Corruption Act against Harishchandra Mishra, Senior Manager of Khadi Gram Udyog Kanpur Headquarters. According to the Inspector, an open inquiry was ordered by the government against the senior manager on May 31, 2021. After a four-year long investigation, the investigation report was submitted to the government on July 15, 2024.

Earning of 72 lakhs and expenditure of 94 lakhs

According to the inspector, in four years, the income of the senior manager, including all legitimate sources of income, came to Rs 72,46,904. But during the same period, Rs 94,27,158 were spent by the senior manager on acquisition of assets and maintenance. Which was an excess of Rs 21,80,254.

Could not give clarification when notice was issued

According to the Vigilance Inspector, during the investigation, a notice was issued to senior manager Harishchandra Mishra. In which no satisfactory explanation could be presented by him. After which, after receiving orders from the government, an FIR has been registered in the matter. Now the statements of the senior manager and his family members will be recorded in this case. Further action will be taken in the matter after taking written account of whatever property and maintenance has been spent by them during the identified period.

Action has been taken against them too for disproportionate assets

12 February 2024- Anti-corruption had registered a case against Head Constable Shyam Sushil Mishra for disproportionate assets.

March 18, 2024- A case of disproportionate assets was registered against Inspector Ramveer Singh.

11 June 2024- A case was registered against Divisional Inspector Technical Lalit Kumar posted in RTO.

12 July 2024- A report was filed against the then CFO Vishwaroop Banerjee.
