In fact, on Tuesday, a minor dispute at Makra intersection of Jalalpur police station area took such a serious form that 24-year-old youth Pankaj Rajbhar lost his life. It is alleged that after the dispute, bullies Chhotu Singh and Rohit Singh ran their car over the young man several times, due to which he died on the spot. After the incident, the family took the injured Pankaj to the hospital in Varanasi, where the doctors declared him dead.

After bringing Pankaj’s body home, the family members and villagers started creating ruckus. They tried to block the road by keeping the dead body on the road, demanding immediate arrest of the accused. As soon as information about the incident was received, top police officers, SP City and CO, reached the spot with heavy police force.

Meanwhile, SP MLA from Kerakat assembly constituency Tufani Saroj also reached there and pacified the angry crowd. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Pankaj Rajbhar had a minor altercation with Chhotu Singh and Rohit Singh of his own village, which later turned into a violent fight. It is alleged that in anger the accused ran the car over Pankaj. The accused fled after committing the incident. The police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint and have started raiding various places in search of the accused.

According to the Superintendent of Police, action is being taken expeditiously in the matter. The search is on to arrest the accused, and all aspects related to the incident are being investigated. This incident has created an atmosphere of tension and anger in the area, where people are demanding justice and strict action against the culprits.
