Action taken on informer’s informationPolice station Highway Police and STF Gautam Buddha Nagar team took action on the basis of information received from the informer. Police station in-charge Anand Kumar Shahi said that information was received about a large quantity of illegal ganja being brought in a truck bearing Rajasthan number RJ 11GC 1098. Acting immediately on the information, the police team laid siege near village Mudesi on Bhatarpur Road and stopped the truck.
Both smugglers arrested, 185 kg ganja recovered During the search of the truck, 185 kg of illegal ganja was recovered. Also, smugglers present in the truck, Jamshed son of Jamil resident of Faridabad and Jahul son of Ayyub resident of Nuh, Haryana were arrested. Both the smugglers were planning to supply ganja from Rajasthan to Mathura and surrounding districts.
Big blow to illegal business Due to this action of the police, the illegal ganja business running in Mathura and surrounding areas has been badly hurt. According to the information, smugglers used to bring ganja at cheap price and sell it here at high prices.
Police said that the arrested smugglers are being interrogated and the search is on for other people associated with their network. The police and STF team are getting praise for this big success.
