In Unnao, BKU workers reached the Mahila District Hospital under the leadership of Kiran Singh Chauhan, State General Secretary of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Araji) Tikait. Sat on strike with their three-point demands.

General Secretary Kiran Singh Chauhan alleged that he had submitted a three-point memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister in the month of September. In which action was demanded against the CMS of the women’s hospital, a female doctor and a nanny. But even after two months had passed, the departmental officials did not take any action on this.
The General Secretary said that after submitting the memorandum, the CMO had sent a letter to the Additional Director Medical Health. In which a divisional level officer was expected to conduct the investigation. However, till now no action has been taken on this letter also.
It is difficult for patients to get proper treatment
Kiran Singh Chauhan alleged that recovery is being done in the Women’s District Hospital from delivery to operation. Which has become a big problem for the poor people. He said that due to corruption in the hospital, it has become difficult for patients to get proper treatment. The poor class is financially troubled.
He warned that unless action is taken against the female doctor, CMS and midwife working in the hospital. Till then BKU workers will continue their protest. The General Secretary also said that if the departmental officers do not take the matter seriously. So the struggle will be further intensified in future.
BKU District President Thakur Prasad, Mamta and other workers were among those who participated in the protest. The workers raised their voice by raising slogans in the hospital premises. Demanded immediate action from departmental officials.
Demonstration against extortion and corruption
This protest by BKU workers against the alleged extortion and corruption going on in the Mahila District Hospital took place at that time. When the need to improve health services in the district is felt. From this strike it became clear that if the problems in the hospital are not resolved, the organization will raise its voice of protest. Now it remains to be seen when the departmental officials take action in this matter. Whether any concrete steps are taken towards improvement in the hospital.
