BSF women rafting team from Gangotri reached Ghazipur: SP welcomed at Ganga Ghat, made people aware about clean Ganga – Ghazipur News


Under the 53-day joint All Women Ganga River Rafting Expedition (Naukayan) 2024 campaign of BSF Women’s Wing and Namami Gange, the rafting team of BSF has set out for an awareness campaign. The sailing team from Gangotri in Uttarakhand arrived in Ghazipur.

In Ghazipur, BSF women sailing team was welcomed by SP Dr. Iraj Raja and ADM at Collector Ghat under Police Station Kotwali area.

The team is making people of the villages and cities lying on the banks of Ganga aware and motivating them to keep the river clean.

There are women members in the team. Which is giving the message of women empowerment and women-prosperous nation as well as the blessing of clean Ganga and life.

The 53-day long “All Women Ganga River Rafting Expedition 2024” is being organized under the joint aegis of Border Security Force and National Clean Ganga Mission, Ministry of Jal Shakti.

The campaign was launched on November 2 from Dev Prayag, Uttarakhand. The team is leaving from cities, towns and villages falling on the route of river Ganga. It will conclude on 24th December in Diamond Harbor (West Bengal).

Superintendent of Police Dr. Iraj Raja, while addressing the campaign team, said that this campaign is not only a symbol of courage and determination. But it is also an inspiring example of women empowerment. The Ganga River of our country is not only a water stream. Rather it is a symbol of our culture and tradition.

SP wished the expedition team to complete the program safely and successfully, showed the flag and sent them off to the next stop.
