District Magistrate Nagendra Pratap gave financial assistance of Rs 50 lakh to Poonam Singh, widow of martyred soldier Trimohan Singh of Atarhat village in Banda district. The DM advised Poonam to make her future bright by focusing on the maintenance of her family and the education of her children.

Trimohan Singh was posted in the Indian Tibetan Police Force (ITBP). His duty was to deliver supplies to the soldiers deployed on the border. On October 2, 2023, while carrying supplies, the horse’s foot slipped, due to which both Trimohan and the horse fell into the ditch and were martyred.
The family received financial assistance
On Monday, the District Magistrate handed over a check of Rs 50 lakh to Poonam Singh. While consoling the family, he said that by using this amount properly, they should improve the education of the children and the future of the family. ADM Rajesh Kumar was also present on this occasion.
This bravery of Martyr Trimohan Singh is being remembered in the entire region. His sacrifice is not only an example for the country but also makes his family proud.
