CM ordered that the workers associated with the milk cooperative society should be given proper training and necessary equipment should be provided to them. Healthy competition should be developed among milk cooperative societies and milk unions in the state. For this, milk cooperative societies should establish communication with every village and farmers and carry forward their work in a better way.

Instructions for rearing good breed animals

CM also instructed farmers to rear better breed of milch animals to increase milk production. Farmers should be trained scientifically for rearing milch animals. This will increase milk productivity in dairy unions and the income of farmers will also increase.

Women’s participation should be increased

CM said that half of the population has an important role in all the works. The dairy sector has proven to be a powerful medium to increase the self-reliance of women. Balini Milk Producer in Bundelkhand region is the best example of this. Women’s participation in milk cooperative societies and milk unions should be further promoted.

CM said that those doing good work in the dairy sector should be encouraged. Compressed bio gas plants should be set up from cow dung. The state government will provide land for their establishment.

At present 18 cluster milk unions are functioning. Dairy plants are being operated by PCDF in Bareilly, Prayagraj, Moradabad, Jhansi, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Lucknow, Meerut, Kannauj, Gorakhpur and Kanpur. Dairy plants are being operated in Varanasi by NDDB. The process of operating dairy plants through NDDB in Kannauj, Gorakhpur and Kanpur is under process.
