A blood soaked body was recovered from the room of his house in Sonwani village of Haldi police station area of Ballia on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Ranjan Ram (45), son of Nathuni Ram.

Villagers told that Ranjan Ram was not visible for the last three days. At around 3 pm on Monday afternoon, someone saw the dead body in his room and immediately informed the village head representative. After this, Haldi police reached the spot and took the body into custody.
Blood on the floor, suspicion of conspiracy There was blood spread at the spot, due to which murder is suspected. The forensic team arrived in the evening and collected evidence. Police have sent the body for postmortem and investigation into the case is ongoing.
CO Bariya inspected CO Bairia Mohammad Usman, who reached the spot, gave instructions to speed up the investigation of the case. Ranjan Ram lived alone in his house, due to which the police are also looking into whether there was any personal rivalry or other reason behind the murder.
