The trailer of Anil Sharma’s film Vanvaas, starring Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur is finally out. It will hit the theatres on 20th December, 2024.

Veteran actor Nana Patekar is gearing up for the release of his next film Vanvaas, directed by Gadar filmmaker Anil Sharma. The film also stars Utkarsh Sharma in the lead role. After unveiling a few gripping posters and a teaser, the makers of Vanvaas have now released the trailer of the film. It gives us a glimpse of the poignant story about human relationships, and promises to be an emotional rollercoaster!
Sharing the trailer of Vanvaas, Nana Patekar wrote, “A tale of love, regret, and redemption—#Vanvaas is the ultimate emotional journey that will tug at your heartstrings.” Vanvaas is a heartfelt tale of family, honor, and the journey to self-acceptance. Directed, produced, and written by Anil Sharma, the film redefines the meaning of family, emphasizing that true bonds are not always forged by blood but by love and acceptance. Featuring Nana Patekar, Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur, the trailer offers a glimpse into a story filled with vulnerability, resilience, and the quest for belonging.

Nana Patekar revealed that Vanvaas is one of his best films till date. In October, he shared a poster from the film, and wrote, “Vanvaas ki puri journey mere liye bahot hi yaadgaar rahi. Yeh aaj tak ki meri best filmon mein se ek hai.”
Anil Sharma, the director of Vanvaas, is known for his cinematic gems like Apne, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, and Gadar 2. Speaking about this film, Anil Sharma said that it is a ‘deeply personal’ movie for him as it explores the themes of love, sacrifice, and what it truly means to be a family. Meanwhile, Nana Patekar shared that playing this character was like peeling back layers of his own understanding of family, honour and belonging. “It’s a film that speaks to the soul, and I believe audiences will find a part of their own journey in it,” he said.
Vanvaas is all set to hit the theatres on 20th December.
