The supply of ganja in Mau is showing no sign of stopping. Once again the police have arrested two inter-district ganja smugglers. More than 20 kg of ganja has been recovered from their possession. A boy and a girl used to travel together with ganja in such a coach of the train.

They used to bring ganja from Assam in trolley bags and supply it to different places in Mau. By keeping ganja worth about Rs 2 lakh in such a train coach, they traveled 1200 kilometers under the nose of the police of five states and the railway police. But Mau police busted the illegal smuggling.

Regarding this, Co City Anjani Kumar Pandey said that as part of the campaign against crime and criminals being run by the Superintendent of Police, the Kotwali police station has arrested two ganja smugglers with more than 20 kg of ganja. The arrested accused used to bring Ganja illegally through train to the district and supply it at various places.

He further told that a man and a woman, both residents of Assam, used to smuggle ganja by keeping it in the AC coach of the train. During police interrogation, it was revealed that both of them are vicious criminals, but they have been caught by the police for the first time. The total value of the recovered ganja is around Rs 2 lakh.
