A tragic incident unfolded during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule in Hyderabad, claiming the life of a woman and leaving her young son in critical condition. The chaos erupted late Wednesday night at Sandhya Theatre, RTC Crossroads, where actor Allu Arjun made an appearance to greet fans.

The victim, Revathi (39) of Dilsukhnagar, had attended the screening with her husband Bhaskar, her son, and their younger child. The stampede occurred around 10:30 PM as Revathi and her family were exiting the theatre. Reports suggest that fans, rushing to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun, surged towards the theatre, pushing aside those leaving.

Police personnel and bystanders immediately performed CPR on Revathi and her son, who were later transported to a nearby hospital. The boy was shifted to a super-speciality hospital, where his condition remains critical. Unfortunately, Revathi succumbed to her injuries. Her body was moved to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem examination.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the situation spiraled out of control when news spread of Allu Arjun’s arrival at the venue. A massive crowd gathered, leading to pandemonium as fans attempted to approach the superstar. The police, already stationed at the site, resorted to a mild lathi charge to disperse the crowd, but the commotion resulted in Revathi and her son being trampled in the melee.

Authorities cordoned off the area, closed the theatre gates, and called for additional reinforcements to manage the crowd. The tragic event has cast a shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory occasion for fans and the film fraternity.
