According to eyewitnesses, the car was moving slowly due to bad road conditions and dense fog. Near Barkapur Tiraha, the route of Kalapur canal was cut into the canal. The road was very narrow due to which the car fell into the river. As soon as the car fell into the canal, the occupants of the car immediately came out. After coming out, he called 112 and asked for help from the police. PRV and Izzatnagar police station reached the spot and took the car out of the canal with the help of a crane.

It is worth noting that due to Google Map, a tragic accident had already happened in Bareilly, in which three youths had died. Three youths were going to Faridpur in Bareilly by car.
