In Balrampur, children from weaker sections and disadvantaged groups will be given the benefit of free education in private schools. It has been planned to complete the admission process for the academic session 2025 in 4 phases by March, so that the education of the children is not harmed.

Admission will be available in class one and pre-primary
Under this scheme, children from weaker sections will be given admission on 25% reserved seats of private schools. These include Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Other Backward Classes, children of parents suffering from HIV/Cancer, disabled children, homeless and economically weaker sections.
Application and selection will be done in four stages
- First Step: Applications from 1 to 19 December 2024, lottery 24 December.
- Second step: Applications from 1 to 19 January 2025, lottery 24 January.
- third step: Applications from 1 to 19 February 2025, lottery 24 February.
- Fourth step: Applications from 1 to 19 March 2025, lottery 24 March.
Basic Education Officer Shubham Shukla said that the enrollment of all the children will be completed before March 31, 2025.
Other benefits under the scheme
Selected children will be given free education till class eight. Along with this, every year an amount of ₹ 5000 will be sent to the accounts of the parents for uniform, stationery and books. This amount will be transferred upon receipt from the government.
Online application mandatory
Parents will have to apply for their children online. If anyone has any problem, they can contact the Basic Education Department.
Basic Education Officer’s appeal
Shri Shukla has appealed that eligible parents should apply on time to avail the benefits of the scheme. This scheme provides a golden opportunity for quality education to the children of poor and deprived sections.
