Call was made to get life certificate made The son of Dr. Anand Prakash Srivastava, who lives in Rajrupur of Dhumanganj area, lives in Lakhisarai. According to the doctor, on October 16, he took the number of PNB Lakhisarai from Google. After this a call was made to get the life certificate made. He also had to go to Lakhisarai in November. In such a situation, the person who picked up the phone introduced himself as the manager of the bank. After this he sent the APK file on WhatsApp and asked to download it and fill the information. The bank manager asked to enter the PIN number along with the account number. The person concerned behind this said that the system has to be uploaded and there is no problem.
Withdraw Rs 50 lakh in five days Dr. Anand Prakash told that as soon as he gave the PIN number, the cyber miscreant activated it and within five days stole Rs 50 lakh. When he got suspicious, he checked from the ATM and found that the money had been withdrawn. After this he lodged a complaint in the cyber police station.
Be careful like this – Do not download or forward unknown APK files – Consider government scheme files found on WhatsApp as suspicious – Open the file only after verification – Open only the files received from authorized sources or departments. – Antivirus on mobile, also do two step verification on WhatsApp
